More "Kill Bill," More "Inglourious Basterds!" Quentin Tarantino Reveals Future Plans!
Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" was the opening film at the Morelia International Film Festival. The fantastic director revealed the following equally-fantastic plans:
*** Tarantino wants to make a third installment of the "Kill Bill" franchise, AFTER he gives Uma Thurman's character (Beatrix Kiddo - The Bride, 'Black Mamba') and her daughter Beebe 10 years of peace before the next bloody battle -- so the project will come to fruition in 2014
*** From now until The Bride fights again, Tarantino is planning to make one film but he remains wide open for that next project.
*** After re-imagining World War II in "Inglourious Basterds," the director is planning to give a makeover to the following genres -- western and/or a gangster movie set in the 20s or 30s ala "Public Enemies"
*** Tarantino admitted that he mas more than enough material for more "Inglourious Basterds" films -- perhaps a prequel or sequel
I love all his plans, and I adore him as a director, but I would love Tarantino to think out of the box and re-imagine the romantic comedy genre! That would be a challenge
