An Oscar tradition will soon close its curtains.
Barbara Walters is saying goodbye to her annual Oscar night celebrity interview special. This will be her last year for her ABC special. On "The View," Walters said, "ABC has asked me to keep doing these specials as they have been so successful -- and I'm thrilled we have such great stars and have such a wonderful show -- but to be honest, I feel like I've 'been there, done that,'" Walters said.
Could it be that Walters is ending the special because ABC has announced the return of Oprah Winfrey's own Oscar special? We may never know, but this we know, Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique will be some of the final guests of Walters.
She just can't go on with the show anymore, and feels "enough is enough."
Aw, I've always enjoyed watching Walters' show, just because yes, it's been a tradition.

As we told you back in December of 2008, British Comedian, Russell Brand ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall"), is developing a remake of "Arthur," the lovely 1981 classic starring Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli, and John Gielgud who won Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as the valet. (See "Remake Alert--'Arthur'")
Now, Roger Friedman from The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Meryl Streep is reportedly in talks to play Hobson, the valet character that Gielgud made famous.
Brand is going to play the title character, and writer Peter Baynham is penning the script based on the characters. But right now, there is no word yet on who's going to direct, or who will portray the character Liza Minnelli played in the original. Certainly not Lady Gaga!

"Valentine's Day" received love from moviegoers as the star-studded romantic comedy opened with a hugely successful $52.4 million box-office take!
Director Garry Marshall knew how to mix both romantic and comedy into a super-sweet film with help from stars Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Biel, Shirley MacLaine, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner.
(Watch my interviews with "Valentine's Day" stars right here, and my movie review right here)
It's being predicted that "Valentine's Day" will break the record set by "Ghost Rider" for the biggest four-day Presidents Day weekend haul. "Ghost Rider" made $52 million in 2007 for Presidents Day weekend, and Warner Bros. estimated "Valentine's Day" will break that record.
Fighting for No. 2 were "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" and "The Wolfman." In the end, "Percy Jackson" took the crown with $31.1 million, while Universal's werewolf saga settled for No. 3 with $30.6 million.
Coming in fourth was the still-strong "Avatar." The Academy Award-nominated sci-fi flick scored $22 million and has raised its domestic total to $659.6 million and worldwide to $2.35 billion!
"Dear John," previous weekend's box-office king and the tearjerker that toppled "Avatar" from the top spot, fell to the No. 5 position with $15.3 million, lifting its total to $53.2 million.
Here's the complete Top 10 list of Box Office films for weekend of Feb. 12th:
